Jon's Rare Books grew out of a simple obsession: the moment you open a book and see the author's handwriting on the page. A signature turns a good read into a personal artifact—part literature, part history.
We specialize in signed books across genres: fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi & fantasy, history, biography, and more. You'll also find the occasional signed photograph or related piece when it supports the story behind the book.
Alongside selling, we actively work on gentle restoration and preservation projects to give worthy volumes a renewed life on your shelves.
Our Approach
Every book in our collection is personally selected and evaluated. We don't work with large distributors or bulk suppliers. Instead, we source books from private collections, estate sales, and trusted dealers, ensuring each volume has a story worth telling.
Authenticity & Condition
We take great care in authenticating signatures and describing condition accurately. All signed items are examined for authenticity, and condition is described using standard book collecting terminology. We believe in transparency—if there's a flaw, we'll tell you about it.
Preservation & Restoration
Beyond buying and selling, we're passionate about preserving literary history. We offer gentle restoration services for books that deserve a second life, using archival materials and conservative techniques that respect the original character of each volume.
